Viewing the RSR task report

The Rolling System Reboot Report view provides detailed task status information.

Procedure

Select Configure > Lenovo XClarity > Rolling Reboot, and click a status link in the Status column to open the Rolling System Reboot Report view. The table below lists the status for tasks and hosts. For detailed information about the Rolling System Reboot tasks, refer to Working with the Rolling System Reboot function.

RunningThe task is running.
CanceledThe task is canceled.
FailedCauses of task failure:
  • Downloading firmware package failed.
  • Restarting ESXi host failed.
  • VM migration failed.
  • Firmware update failed
FinishedThe task has completed.
HostNot StartedThe update for the host has not started.
MigratingThe host is entering maintenance mode.
MaintenanceThe host is in maintenance mode.
RebootThe host is restarting after updating completes.
Exit MaintenanceThe host is exiting maintenance mode.
SuccessThe firmware update succeeded.
FailedThe causes of host failure:
  • Cannot enter maintenance mode.
  • Cannot restart the host.
  • Cannot exit maintenance mode.
