Importing the SSH public key for a remote share

When using SSH public key authentication for a remote share, you must import the SSH public key from the server that hosts the shared directory to Lenovo XClarity Administrator.

Before you begin

If the SSH key already exists, regenerating the key might cause you to loose connectivity to the existing remote share.

You must have lxc-supervisor authority to generate an SSH key.

Complete the following steps to configure a remote share to accept the XClarity Administrator public key.

  1. From the XClarity Administrator menu bar, click Administration > Remote Shares to display the Remote Share page.
  2. Select a remote share
  3. Click Import SSH Key to import the SSH public key for the selected remote share.
