Modifying the system properties for a chassis

You can modify the system properties for a specific chassis.

Procedure

Complete the following steps to modify the system properties.

1. From the Lenovo XClarity Administrator menu bar, click Hardware > Chassis to display the Chassis page.
2. Select the chassis to be updated.
3. Click All Actions > Inventory > Edit Properties to display the Edit dialog.
4. Change the following information, as needed.
   • Server name
   • Support contact
   • Description

   Note

   The location, room, rack, and lowest rack unit properties are updated by XClarity Administrator when you add or remove devices from a rack in the web interface (see Managing racks).
5. Click Save.
   Note

   When you change these properties, there might be a short delay before the changes appear in the XClarity Administrator web interface.
