Midplane two wire interface (TWI) bus failed

A failed midplane or midplane element within a shelf has been detected.

CAUTION
Possible loss of data accessibility

This problem should be fixed immediately. If multiple TWI buses fail, both controllers may lock down. During a lockdown for an TWI bus failure, the controllers are in a Suspended state, the Controller and Summary Fault LEDs come on, and the storage array's seven-segment displays show the code Ln.

Recovery Steps​

  1. Manually collect support data from the storage array.

    1. Go to Support > Support Center. Then, select the Diagnostics tab.

    2. Select the Collect Support Data link to save the support data to a file.

  2. Contact your Technical Support Engineer using the information in the upper right-corner of the Support Center.
