What's new in version 3.4

Lenovo XClarity Administrator management software version 3.4 supports new hardware, software enhancements, and fixes.

Software enhancements

This version supports the following enhancements to the management software.

Planning and installationYou can install XClarity Administrator on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS with KVM installed (see Hardware and software prerequisites).

You can register your instance of XClarity Administrator to eliminate reoccurring warnings about the trial expiration and non-compliant licenses (see Registering XClarity Administrator).

Device managementYou can manage ThinkSystem DB series switches (see Managing switches)

You can view metrics data for ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile devices (see Monitoring historical metrics).

You can clear the SEL log for a specific server (see Managing servers).

Firmware updatesYou can configure the maximum size of the updates repository, which include firmware, OS device drivers, and management server updates (see Downloading firmware updates).
Operating system deploymentYou can deploy Microsoft Windows Server 2022 to managed servers (see Supported operating systems).

When deploying Ubuntu, the image can be installed on the selected storage option (local disk drive, M.2 drive, or FC SAN volume) instead of the first disk that is recognized by the OS (see Supported operating systems).

Server configurationWhen deactivating and removing an applied server profile, the Reset switch internal port settings' is disabled by default (see Deactivating a server profile).
Service and supportYou can find device-registration information on the Warranty page (see Viewing warranty information).

You can enable Lenovo to periodically send bulletins to the XClarity Administrator web interface (see Getting bulletins from Lenovo).

Supports SNMP traps for Brocade switches (see List of switch SNMP trap events).
