Migrating the data from the PostgreSQL database to the SQL server database

The following procedure describes how to migrate the data from the PostgreSQL database to the SQL server database.

Ensure that the PostgreSQL database and XClarity Integrator Service are installed on the same Windows system.

Procedure

  1. Uninstall the existing XClarity Integrator Service that is using the PostgreSQL database.
  2. Install the new XClarity Integrator Service that is using the SQL server database.
  3. Log in to XClarity Integrator Service. Refer to Logging in to XClarity Integrator Service.
  4. Click Migrate Data on the left side of the page.
  5. Click Migrate Data.
  6. Click OK. The migration process starts.
  7. Click OK again after the migration process is finished.
Note:

  • Do not uninstall the PostgreSQL database or delete the XClarity Integrator Service configuration file before the data migration is completed.

  • The old data in the SQL server database is overwritten with the migrated data after the migration process.
