Troubleshooting data forwarding issues

Use this information to troubleshoot issues when are metrics data is not being forwarded to a TruScale Infrastructure Service.

  • Ensure that Lenovo XClarity Administrator resource manager is online and connected to XClarity Orchestrator. To resolve connectivity issues, see Cannot connect a resource manager.
    Tip
    The FQXHMMF0002J event is raised by XClarity Administrator when it cannot establish a connection to XClarity Orchestrator for more than 100 minutes (see Monitoring events).
  • Ensure that managed devices are online and connected to the XClarity Administrator resource manager (see Viewing the status of servers and Viewing the status of storage devices in the Lenovo XClarity Administrator online documentation.

    Tip
    The FQXHMMF0001J event is raised by XClarity Administrator when it cannot establish a connection to the baseboard management controller for more than 100 minutes (see Monitoring events).
  • Ensure that the Lenovo XClarity Controller certificates are valid and not expired. From the Lenovo XClarity Controller web interface, click the Secure icon, and then click Certificate. Check Issued By and Valid From/To Dates. If the dates are not valid, regenerate the certificate by clicking Regenerate the certificate.
  • Ensure the Lenovo XClarity Controller certificates are certificate signed by a certificate authority.

    Verify the certificate details for the ThinkSystem or ThinkAgile server. If the certificate is not signed by valid certificate authority, regenerate the certificate with a valid CA.

    If the server is a ThinkSystem compute node, the certificate is obtained from the chassis after the chassis is managed by the XClarity Administrator resource manager.
