Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator management software version 1.4.0 supports new hardware, software enhancements, and fixes.

Monitoring resources | Firmware age and security fixes (also known as common vulnerabilities and exposures or CVEs) are summarized on the dashboard (see Viewing a summary of your environment). Health status and details are displayed for infrastructure resources (see Viewing infrastructure resources status and details). Customer advisories (technical tips) are listed on the device details pages (see Viewing device details). When configuring a data forwarder for a Lenovo TruScale Infrastructure Services, you can validate the connection (see Forwarding metrics data to a Lenovo TruScale Infrastructure Services). |
Provisioning resources | Information about available platforms, components, and update packages is included in updates repository when XClarity Orchestrator is installed. It is recommended that you retrieve the latest information before downloading update packages (see Downloading and importing updates). You can download and import firmware-update repository packages (see Downloading and importing updates). When updates are being downloaded from the Internet, the status changes to Downloading or Pending Download (see Downloading and importing updates). When importing update packages and repository packs, the totals size of all files being imported must be less than 8GB (see Downloading and importing updates). |
Predicting and analyzing problems | You can view graphs that illustrate analytics about the common vulnerabilities and exposures (see Analyzing security fixes). You can view graphs that illustrate analytics about the health and predictive failure of hard disk drives and solid-state drives in managed ThinkAgile and ThinkSystem servers. (see Analyzing drive health). This is now officially supported. |
Service and support | You can define contacts for service and support and then assign those contacts as the primary and secondary Call Home contacts for specific devices (see Creating and assigning contacts for service and support). If enabled, drive-analytics data is included in periodic data that is sent to Lenovo (see Sending periodic data to Lenovo). |
PowerShell toolkit | The Lenovo XClarity Orchestrator PowerShell toolkit (LXCOPSTool) provides a library of cmdlets to automate provisioning and resource management from a Microsoft PowerShell session (see Summary of changes in the PowerShell toolkit). |
REST API | XClarity Orchestrator provides a set of easy-to-use REST APIs that can be used to access XClarity Orchestrator data and services from applications running outside of the XClarity Orchestrator framework.
